Very much what you would consider to be a classic family restaurant in decor, service and menu. You feel like nothing has changed in 20-30 years at this place. Food was decent and portion size fair. Service was excellent and friendly. Prices are fair. Closes pretty early, but I suspect that has more to do with the average age of the guests. There's not much to say about this place other than it's a solid unpretentious restaurant.
Off the travelled path but worth it. Affordable, great breakfast menu (they even have breakfast poutine which my daughter loved), clean and exceptional service. They even served up a Sundae on Saturday morning. Great place for late Saturday breakfast with the family!
First time here. Great food and service. Very clean. Clubhouse sandwich, home fries and slaw was very delicious!! Thank you Sammy’s.
Searched on Google and saw amazing reviews. Popped in for the first time and not only enjoy the amazing prices and food, but also enjoy the amazing service. All the staff were very friendly. When our waitress found out it was our first time she gave us a history run-down of the place. I highly suggest the burgers and onion rings.
A local diner style family restaurant in Scarborough! We’re from the area and did not know this place existed. If you’re looking for a good meal for breakfast, or lunch/brunch, check this place out! We came hungry after our workout :) The place was clean and spacious and you could tell everyone from the servers to the customers were all pretty close knit and customers frequented the restaurant. We got the Twist combo and another egg and sausage platter and both did not disappoint. They are known for their home fries which we can attest to—don’t skip on those! Compared to other brunch spots, Sammy’s was fairly priced for what we got and our bill was just under $30! Can’t go wrong with that! We’ll be back again!
Lin was so good, always asking how we are and what we need. We had the Breakfast combos of Grand Slam and French Toast. It is a huge portion and had it to go for my daughter and I. These combos came with roasted potatoes and toasts. I prefer a roasted potatoes small, crispy but soft in the inside not chunky, it tastes good still. The drip coffee was refillable, fresh and hot. There’s sweeteners but you need to ask and do not have a container like the usual breakfast/brunch place I go to. It’s aesthetically pleasing and seems clean the washrooms are downstairs just by the entrance beside the bar.
Small place serving good breakfast food & more. Its a great place for affordable food and good portions. The waiters are very bubbly and friendly and make it a great experience to dine in. Will definitely be coming back here more often!
